This is a general FAQ for web and graphic design (they may not necessarily be asked of me). This page has all short answers, look for longer tutorials in this section as well. Click the question for the answer.
How do you make a graphic/layout? Ok, this cannot be explained.. Get a nice program like psp then start trying.. find a basic tutorial... explore and play around. Download brushes and place them on your images.. use your creativity. Sorry, can't say much more.
What size do you make... etc. etc.? AIM Icons: 50x50px (including a border, which is always a good idea). Site Layouts: Recommended at most 780x450*px (780 allowing for a scrollbar next to it.) or for aol a nice 550x450px*. A layout for a zine can be anything you like, not too big, though.. I start out with 450x250px or less.. Cropping out a thinner slice for the headers.

How do you clean up a blurry picture? The way I do it works very nicely. If your image is not a JPEG you had to increase the color depth (Under Colors). Then go to Effect > Enhance Photo > JPEG Artifact Removal. Set restore crispiness to 0 (The highest number will have the opposite effect). Maximum will be the cleanest option, try it at Low and move up until it's nice.
You should not use this with text, if your image has text use the Select tool to clean up parts of the image other than the text.
This effect also softens the image and some use it to make a picture look like a painting.
What is the best way to cut my layouts into sections? Here are tips.. Use the crop tool. Zoom in on the image to see exactly where you're cutting. Keep an eye on the width and height, and add them up at the end. Preview in your web broswer. Do not use the selection tool as using the selection tool would either feather the edges, or have a transparancy around the edge. Bleh.
What are "blends"? A blend is just like any other graphic except it always involves two or more images (often people). It's not just that, though, blends usually involve effects like any other graphic. Blends are also on the larger side.
Will PSP 7 brushes work in 8? No, they will not. For PSP 8, Jasc changed how brushes work. They even use a different file extension (.PspBrush). The good news is that the brushes can be much larger. PSP 8 is a fantastic program, too. Just have patience and wait for brushes to be made for you. (There are even better brushes included!)
Where can I get PSP 8 brushes? At the Vbrush search engine for brush sites. Currently, there are four sites, I have not checked them out, yet. We will have them here very soon.
Applesauce won't work. / How do I get Applesauce to work? First of all, I do not run this program, so I can't really help you. I DID NOT CREATE IT!! Therefore I cannot give support. I simply started providing it, because I couldn't see it anywhere on the web anymore.First, you click on the link to download, then WinZip will open, you Unzup it. The solution to the most common problem is that you have to put your current AIM screen name in the box. Other than that, you're on your own.
How do I find Applesauce? / How do I get AIM colors? It's in the navigation, first you go to downloads, then programs. It's easy. I won't give you a direct link, because you should learn how to navigate a site. :-P
Can I get help from you by IM/e-mail? You: Hi! Can I annoy you and IM you with my questions? I have lots of them and I expect you to help me... for free!
I despise getting hoards of IMs because of my site. If you e-mail me and ask me a simple question, I'm happy to oblige. I can't write a full tutorial for you, though. And don't use me in place of your webhost's support.
