I absolutely adore this Kelly-styled shearling-lined leather muff that IMHO stole the show at Hermes. The thing is I’m not sure if it’s actually a bag! It doesn’t appear to be able to fit much in it besides hands. It is definitely styled after the classic Kelly bag, though, so if it’s not a bag, I say it’s just as good—or better? One thing’s certain, this is the most stylin’ muff ever!

In any dream list must go the Marc Jacobs denim bag, too. Light blue. Here is the Smooch winner for best denim handbag. This Washed Denim Bag is a refreshing, quilted take on denim (which itself is a refreshing take on all the Marc Jacobs Collection signature touches) with equal blends of golden and winter white tones. I love the thought of denim being “indestructible,” which to me means that it can be luxury when done right, while it can be a usable, keeper item! A Smooch* Award for Best Signature goes to Roccobarocco’s Ruby Sparkling Signature Mini Barrel Bag. The whole, incredibly long, overly hard to pronounce brand name fits on the pattern of this bag. It’s gorgeous, because with each letter forming circles, it’s hard to tell what the print is at first. The placement is complicated enough to take some studying to master how they’ve laid it out; this is no simple bag! An extra bonus is in that name itself, after learning it, saying it is quite fun! I present another beauty from Forzieri, the Python-Style Trim Sand Leather Hobo Bag. It’s chic, it’s luxurious, it’s classic and classy. It’s made of genuine leather and embossed python that should prove for fully unique items. It’s inventive with its sleek height-elongated center pocket that is covered by the bag’s slim flap. Yes, the flap is the pocket cover, complete with a hidden snap. Oh, my God - to. die.

Why do I think it’s genius? Besides what I already pointed out; it seems to me that the center pocket would be a perfect cell phone holder for most phones. But it doesn’t look functional, it looks fully stylish. Oh … I have a pain in my chest. It’s too much.

It is a bit much … of the expensive, at $295.

And finally, I give this handbag a Smooch* Award for Shape. Why, just look at the angles of the pockets. They flow with the hobo shape perfectly. When I first
discovered hobos, I never thought I would once admire one so much.

Browsing through The Gap today, I noticed that they have a lot of nice, or at least interesting, looking handbags.

This one - the Mini Chain Handle Bag (also in a larger hobo with a front zippered pocket) - caught my attention by its namesake - the handle. The strap is made of wood chain woven into the bag’s durable cotton canvas, and metal rings attach it to the body. I give this handbag a Smooch* Award for Best Strap!

The bag comes in eye-catching white, black (which looks nice with the wood charm attached), and multi-floral brown (the same lining as is in the solid colored bags). (The large hobo also comes in “Spring Breeze;” a teal shade.)
